How to Prepare for a Crane Truck Lift
A little preparation makes a lift faster and safer. Here is what to have ready before we arrive.

A crane truck lift goes smoothly when the site is ready. A few simple checks before the day save time, keep everyone safe, and avoid rescheduling. Use this checklist to prepare your Sydney site for a crane truck or Hiab lift.
Clear access and set-up space
The truck needs a clear path in and a firm, level area to set up and deploy its stabiliser legs. Move vehicles, bins, and materials out of the way, and make sure gates or temporary fencing can be opened wide enough. The closer the truck can set up to the lift, the more it can lift.
Check the ground and overhead hazards
Stabilisers need stable ground — soft soil, fresh fill, or services below may need packing or a different set-up. Look up too: powerlines, tree branches, awnings, and eaves all affect how we position the crane. Tell us about anything overhead when you book.
Have the load and details ready
Make sure the load is accessible, rigged or able to be rigged, and that someone on site can direct where it goes. Confirm the weight and dimensions in advance. For deliveries, coordinate timing so the load and the truck arrive together.
